David Bowie a Lucca ! Serata che i presenti non dimenticheranno facilmente, ne sono sicura. Avevo già visto dal vivo Bowie a Pistoia nel 97 nel periodo della tournè per l'album Earthling se non sbaglio. Ero rimasta davvero impressionata anche dalle qualità vocali del "Duca Bianco". Questa volta l'acustica di Piazza Napoleone non è riuscita a rendere giustizia alla sua voce ma il concerto è stato fantastico, 2 ore in un crescendo eccitante, entrato sul palco con Life o Mars ha continuato reinterpretando molti pezzi di 30 anni fa, da album storici come ziggy Stardust (con cui ha chiuso il concerto) a pezzi come heroes, Ashes to Ashes, Let's Dance, fino ai brani dell'ultimo bellissimo album Heathen. Bowie ha una presenza scenica incredibile e mi è sembrato in una forma smagliante. Mi hanno detto che nella tribuna vip c'erano Zucchero, Jovanotti ecc. , me li immagino tutti presi a prendere appunti ed a guardarsi uno con l'altro …..serata Indimenticabile

Saturday 26 January I have played for an anniversary of 50 years of Marriage.
Accompanied at the organ by pianist Michela we have performed the classical Wagner's March at the entrance of the couple in the church and Mendelssohn at the end of the ceremony. Nice surprise for the bridegrooms from Claudia their niece (a student of flute) that has performed a duet of J. S. Bach with me.

Very handsome evening Sunday 30 December 2001 in the church of Corfino (garfagnana/Lucca) where i conducted the Schola Cantorum Choir.
The church was well decorated with the Christmas's typical flowers and the choir has performed perfectly a musical program very traditional ( Gruber's Silent Night, Adeste Fidelis, Lennon's Happy Xmas,... ) but, perhaps after an year like this, all the presents seemed very emotionally touched.

Saturday 22 december i played flute at Pietrasanta accompanied at the piano by the young talent Massimo Salotti. The occasion was the award for one of the most famous sculptors in the world, the connecticut (U.S.A.) artist Stanley Bleifeld. In the first picture i'm with him. In the second picture there's a bronze Bleyfeld's sculpture named the flutist :-) . The place of the event was "Chiostro S. Agostino", i can assure you that only this spectacular historical building is worth a turist visit in Pietrasanta !. I will post the pictures from this event in the next days i hope, toghether with a description of Pietrasanta, a city famous around the world not only for his marble but also for the bronze work for artists such Bleifeld, like the nine-foot tall bronze Bleifeld's statue in the Columbus Museum in New Haven (Connecticut) still worked in a little foundry in Pietrasanta . In the meantime happy holidays to all !

Nice shopping sunday in Lucca. This is the main street inside the old walls of the city - if you'll visit Lucca, dont'forget to do some shopping in this suggestive street named Fillungo. If you like peoples, go there in the afternoon from 17 p.m. to 19 p.m., you'll find this shopping chaos too :-). Near there's the "Luigi Boccherini Music Conservatory" where i studied flute (it's chairman is now Andrea Bocelli, you know ? ).

My dear home music studio is under restructuring work, i like this room, the stone, the panoramas of garfagnana and alpi apuane in front of it, i can study all day happy in this room, we're working on the new fireside (not sure of the translation..) it will be in garfagnana stone.

Wonderful day Saturday 13 October in Versilia.
I was playing for a marriage in a church a footstep from the sea.
I have played with an organist that is conductor of a choir and composer and with a talented baritone.
Fortunate the bridegrooms for the hot one day of sun in the month of October ! After the wedding i thought for a moment to go to the near sea, but i didn't know where to place safely my flute :-)

On this stage every year there's the "Festival Pucciniano", many days of execution of the great operas of Giacomo Puccini, the stage is in front of the panoramic Massaciuccoli Lake. On the front of the lake there's the Giacomo Puccini's house, an interesting place to visit for a turist.

The afternoon i played only with the flute (without others instruments or singers) in an attractive little church inside the park of the Orecchiella (a natural park near my home of which soon i will make see some photos).
Beautiful the contrast between the sumptuous churches of Lucca like that of the morning and this small one.
The Church was nice and with a good acoustic. Many presents that stayed out of the church during the ceremony have told me that the sound of the flute expanded magically clear in the wood around.

A beautiful Sunday morning of sport, in program a race of mountain bike valid for the Italian mountain bike championship, the circuit was carried out near and in front of my house! This is the beautiful aspect of the garfagnana, a circuit that crossed the country and the meadows, narrow lanes between the fields with the scene of the apuane Alps. However a truly hard circuit, there where also some girls in contest. I too i'm making the first escapes in mountain bike. Yesterday morning also the first "training" "incident" : I have lost a pedal of my new mountain bike! I have had to call home for help :-(

Very hot today ! I've taked a bath in a new torrent that I did not know, thanks to the indications of friends, by passage I have crossed the lake of Pontecosi, where in these 3 days there will be a large party just on the sides of the lake, the program seems interesting and also the lake is very fascinating on the night. If you will be in garfagnana next two days go there ! By cecy

Beautiful concert also yesterday evening. I have alternated the direction of the chorus and pieces with the flute. In the photo under i'm exchanging the impressions after the concert with great tenor Gianluca Martinelli (splendid career like tenor to the theatre La Scala of Milan) that I have accompanied with the flute in various famous melodies.

yesterday evening was Wonderful . I have directed my choir and I have executed some pieces with the flute accompanied by the organ or the tenor. Good the two tenors Gianluca Martinelli and Alberto Bertucci! Sorry for the photos, the digital kodak had the batteries completely dead after the first 2-3 photos :-( . The program is under the italian description.

Wonderful! For who knows in garfagnana the season of the mushrooms begins in september until November. It seems that in these days of August there is a likeable exception, this is the beautiful basket of mushrooms (boletus edulis in latin) that my father has found today afternoon in the forest behind the hotel of the family of my uncles the Casone (www.hotelilcasone.com), the beautifulst ones forests where has found them can be seen from the webcam on the roof of the hotel or you can see them from the high photographed from the helicopter..
If you will go and found of some mushrooms send me at least one photo :-)

Little time for study flute and for staying in front of the webcam in these days, here i was in Lucca yesterday, near the statue devoted to our great music composer Giacomo Puccini near Plaza St. Michele.

Today I have accompanied with the flute a wedding. Wonderful organ! Truly many organs have a incredible history, this has been recently repaired from the population and is beautiful. I must decide to make a series of photos exclusively of the wonderful organs that we have in Lucca.
